Originality: Original, NEW OLD STOCK

Description: On offer here is an original, NEW OLD STOCK “Cobra on Top” tachometer which has survived to the present day in its original box complete with original instructions and mounting bracket. These “Cobra on Top” tachometers are specific to about the first 700 or so GT350s in 1966. Following this design, the Cobra on the dial was moved to the bottom of the dial and the dial in general was redesigned. Thereafter, all other replacements produced featured the Cobra logo on the bottom which makes an early “Cobra on top” tachometer an extremely rare find today. This tach dates from November of 1965. This is not a later tach made to look like an early tach as so many others are. This is a genuine piece ready to go on your early 66 or carryover! Perfect, NOS wiring that has never been hacked into… perfect dial…. you won’t find a better one. For the guy who isn’t settling for “good enough” while restoring his 66 GT350.
